Privacy Policy

PassTOPIK is an Android app for EPS-TOPIK (UBT) computer-based mock tests. It is operated by [[PassTOPIK]] (we, us). This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, how long we keep it, and what you can ask us to do with it.

PassTOPIK is independent practice material. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to the Korean Institute for International Education or any exam authority.

What we hold

• Account: your name, email address and Google account identifier, taken from the Google account you sign in with.
• Learning activity: the mock tests you attempt, your answers, your scores, your streak and your position on the leaderboard.
• Purchases: the orders and payments behind access to paid packages.
• Devices: the device token the app registers for notifications, if you allow notifications.
• Technical: request logs used to keep the service running, available and secure.

We do not ask for precise location, your contacts, your photos or your calendar.

Why we hold it

• To run the mock tests and record your results against your own account.
• To show your own history, streak and leaderboard position.
• To send announcements about the service, if you have notifications turned on.
• To process, confirm and refund payments, and to keep the records that tax and accounting rules require.
• To investigate failures, prevent abuse and keep the service secure.

We do not use your answers to build advertising profiles, and we do not sell your personal data.

How long we keep it

• Learning activity is kept while your account exists.
• Purchase records are kept for as long as tax and accounting rules require.
• Technical logs are kept for a short period and then deleted.
• If you delete your account, we remove or anonymise your learning activity within [[DELETION_WINDOW_DAYS]] days. Purchase records stay, because we are required to keep them.

Your rights

• Ask us for a copy of the data we hold about you.
• Ask us to correct data that is wrong.
• Ask us to delete your account.
• Ask us to stop sending you announcements.
• Ask us to take you off the leaderboard, if your name or score appears there.

Write to [[CONTACT_EMAIL]] with any of these requests. Deleting your account does not remove purchase records we are required to keep.

Who this applies to

PassTOPIK is intended for adults preparing for the EPS-TOPIK exam. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13, or the equivalent minimum age where you live.

Sharing

• Google: you sign in with Google, so Google provides the identifier for your account and confirms who you are.
• Payment providers: if you pay through a provider, we share what that provider needs to take and refund the payment.
• Infrastructure providers: we use hosting, storage and email providers to run the service, under agreements that limit what they may do with your data.
• Other learners: if the leaderboard shows names or scores, other learners can see that entry. You can ask us to remove it.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it for advertising.
